The 
Coalition of Companion Animal Behavior Educators is a cooperative organization of educators in the field of companion animal training and behavior modification. Each member institution is dedicated to providing excellent science-based and animal-friendly educational opportunities to students. 

Mission

The mission of the Coalition of Companion Animal Behavior Educators is to provide a cooperative resource for animal-friendly companion animal behavior educators, promoting excellence in student education.

Principles and Guidelines for Member Institutions and Educators

1. Commitment to science-based content and pedagogy. Instructing in empirically well grounded methods for: a) animal training and behavior modification; b) owner education; counseling and class instruction; and c) student instruction.

2. Honesty in advertising.

3. Dedication to non-aversive means for a) animal training, b) owner coaching/training and c) student instruction.

4. Competence of educators. Educators must be skilled, knowledgeable and experienced in the area they are instructing in.
